EEEK! I can't believe that This is most likely going to be my last area of my mission.
It's wiert to think that way because in reality I just got here to Brazil. It's a stark difference between my last area. While this is a beach town as well, it's got nothing. No real shops or anything. It's a tragedy really. We walk around 10k everyday but Hey we've got Beto Correiro World! It's like disneyland with the Howdy Show written all over it. Classy. Even with all this... I still like it. I'm in Brazil and when at the end of the day I'm happy.My companion is amasing. she has only been a member for a little more than a year. She's wonderful. I learned something yesturday as I gave a talk in Portugues for the first time. They wanted me to introduce myself and tell a little about me. I started talking about my home town of Mesa Arizona (shameless Plug) and then went in to share a little bit of my story. It was one of those talks where you just start talking and hope that it comes out good. It did. and I learned something.
I'm in a small town about 45 min. away from my old area and in the same Stake. The town mostly lives on tourist for 3 months of the year. It's branch that has been a branch for a lot of years. They got the missionaires taken out because they were running low on people. It's kind of like the small step kid to the other wards in the the Stake. That I talked about how I had spent a lot of time waiting... and waiting... and well you all know the story. I lived on the thought that maybe tomorrow I will get it... and so on. Normally when you are in that posission you want to say well, I'll do something when everything goes my way. But If I had done that I would have wasted half my mission and wouldn't be getting letter that talk about how awesome my friends are doing back in California. We can't wait for tomorrow. God has given us today and that is really all we have to work with.
