Cornered

We had a little talent show in the branch this weekend. It leaked that I sang a little bit before my mission and so I was corned and made to do a little song and dance. The problem was that as a missionary I have 0 time to practice really anything else but portugues and the scriptures. I also had a little thing in my head that said rule number 1: don't suck. I ruled out anything new. I went back to my old tracks from the Ponderosa thinking hard to sing something that they might know. Wishing that I had a way to get out of it.... Inspirastion Struck.

It was great. The only problem was that the cord to the mic was abput 3 feet long and so it felt more like I was on a Leash. But it was really fun and just about everyone started singing along as well. I was impressed that basically everyone knew the words. Everyone loved it. I felt releaved.

The work is going along really well. We talked to someone that said he made a pact with the Devil but didn't believe in God. -Explain that one for me... -He was drunk. Note to everyone. Drinking is stupid.

The world is full of stuff like that. But it's great when we get to teach cool people and share how if we just put forth a little faith, That faith will increase and Throught the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can come to know our true potential. With Him it's wide open spaces.
